[BUG] DFS, librairies and Media Center [BUG]
HelloI noticed that windows 7 is unable to add DFS shares to librairies, because those are not indexed (which is really sad). But, if you add the same DFS share to the librairy through Media Center it works just fine.Something is not right there, Windows Explorer and MCE should have the same behaviour toward non-indexed shares! Please fix this, and furthermore fix the indexation issue on DFS share (indexation works fine as long as DFS name are not used).Thank you,

Hi, I have also test this on my lab and found a DFS share can also be add to library. Please just try again: Include folders in a library If it still cannot be included, please also refer to the following: Libraries: frequently asked questions Please note What types of locations are supported in libraries? and Why did I get a message saying that a location can't be included because it's not indexed? Hope this helps. Thanks.Nicholas Li - MSFT

Hello,According to those link it is not working so far:http://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/winserverfiles/thread/820c97a2-da50-4061-9490-53ca1facbdd7http://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/windowsdesktopsearchhelp/thread/85525c46-1ab5-46e1-a288-e36561a6ffabI tested it by myself4 days ago (and explorer told be that non indexed folder cannot be added),I will have this tested again tonight, in order to be sure.I read the suggestion in the FAQ, and as my DFS share weight a lot of terrabyte caching is far from beeing a solution. What is sad is that all my DFS member have indexed content, it would be great if windows seven could handle this.

I tested again, on a full patched computer; and it is still a no-go. The only way to add a DFS share in a librairy is to use the Media Center bug.
